your iPod has no experience or expertise to offer you to help contribute to this once-in-a-lifetime event.  

It&#039;s not easy to keep a dance floor going; it&#039;s a task that requires the full concentration of at least one, sometimes two, human DJs, and it happens now -- in the moment -- spontaneously.  

In general, I think people come to weddings expecting to dance.  They know that&#039;s what&#039;s going to happen there.  They&#039;ve been to weddings, before.  Unless there&#039;s a physical ailment preventing them from doing so safely (and even still, sometimes!), if no one is dancing, it&#039;s usually the music (and/or the flow of the music) that&#039;s the trouble.  An experienced professional DJ knows how to &quot;read&quot; a crowd and make educated decisions that will pay off on the dance floor.

For an event as monumental as this, consider how much better your memories will be of enjoying yourself long into the evening with your friends and family instead of ending early because people just didn&#039;t seem to want to dance.</description>
